Yoga In Your Chair

Chair Yoga which is an infusion of exercises which translate from any yoga style to a seated version with from a chair, usually performed and taught amongst groups of people who are recovering or elderly. Chair yoga is usually gentle but can be vigorous and can make a practitioner sweat. This style of yoga is currently alive and kicking. I would know because Waking Within company is associated with teaching and dispatching teachers to over 6 retirement or assisted living communities in North San Diego county.

Postures for chair yoga classes include:

Eagle Arms and Legs,
Back bends,
Prayer Mudra variations,
Arm Raises,
Half Moon (the version that allows one to reach up and lean to the side--stretchs the side body, torso and hips),
Toe and Finger Stretchs,
Alternate Nostril Breathing,
Breath of Fire/Shinning Skull,
Belly Breathing,
Hip Openers,
Shoulder Openers,
Chair Holding Cobra Pose,
Ragdoll,
and coutless others.

I encourage all yoga instructors to teach elderly students and try out some of these yoga stretchs.

Salvia Meditations

Dear Friends and Alchemists, I am writing out of excitment and satisfaction. Last week we completed class number three and the experiencial portion of the Salvia Divinorum Ethnobotany series. In a well intended, meditative setting with wonderful friends we experimented with altered states of consciousness induced by Salvia Divinorum leaves... ...and we were totally SUCCESSFUL with amazing and fun journeys and deep meditations. Everything comes with intentions for the highest good and the most learning so we will offer a lecture on the herbs and the traditional context (shamanism) of the herbal practices and we encourage you to do your own homework and research. Check out the British documentary series: "Sacred Weeds" for more info on Salvia Divinorum a...

Birth Chart of Bitcoin and Predicting Value through Astrology

As an astrology teacher and a fortune teller, many people ask me about their personal investments and return on these situations. For the most part, people want divination like card readings and an interpretive analysis of the outcome of their current decisions and destiny when in actuality the best forecasts or prophetic readings are those where all factors able to be considered are communicated clearly and considered well by the reader and the questioner. For me, personally and when lead teams it’s a mathematical metaphysical order of operations: 1. Management of Money and Resource (Time VS Money VS Personal Attention/Intention) 2. Knowing how to play a game of chance or speculate in a strategic or “proven” method and understanding the ...

Heretic Rising...

"Most discipline is "hidden discipline" designed not to liberate but to limit. Do not ask Why? Be cautious with How? Why...leads inexorably to paradox. How traps you in a universe of cause and effect. Both deny the infinite." -Heretics of Dune
