Shamanism Continues NOT Existing

To quote a friend Kahuna Lamaku: "The Non-tribal World does not allow shamanism to exist. Shamanism, the idea, only exists within a tribal context. Without a tribe, a Shaman can be a priest, a sorcerer or ritual magician. Even if non-tribal people could learn shamanism, they could not grasp it."

We both agree that the path of "shamanism" is hard for most people to grasp. Even I have troubles when in the average waking world amidst "muggles" or going to the bank on an average San Diego day. I won't go to Wal-Mart anymore because of the sheer ignorance within the consciousness of the people. Lo, we must be compassionate. My interpretative of the reason behind the escape of shamanism from one's understanding in the Western/National world is LANGUAGE Barrier.

Salvia, Ska Maria Pastora Entheogenic Ritual Group

Ska Maria Pastora, the Shepherdess or Salvia Divinorum is a sacred entheogenic plant of the peoples of Mexico in the mint family. Dear Friends, Some of you joined us and many of you heard that last weekend we completed a beautiful series on the Magic Cactus with our Ethnobotany students. I held space along with some of my dearest friends and presented a series of Neo-Shamanic altars and rituals. The divine Earth we walked upon for our journey to healing was a blessed and sacred site that my family owns on the back side Palomar Mountain.
